Description

Begin with a scenic drive from Nice to Grasse, passing through the hills. Visit a historic perfume house such as Galimard, Molinard, or Fragonard, where you will discover traditional essence extraction techniques, including enfleurage and distillation.

Next, take part in an olfactory creation workshop led by a professional “nose.” In a small group, you will select top, middle, and base notes to create your own perfume, guided by an introduction to olfactory grammar that parallels wine tasting concepts like structure and persistence.

After the workshop, enjoy a light lunch at a local restaurant in Grasse’s historic center.

In the afternoon, travel to Bellet’s vineyards on the hills above Nice. Visit Château de Crémat, a prestigious family estate known for rare grape varieties such as Folle Noire, Braquet, and Vermentino (Rolle). Participate in a guided tasting of 3 to 4 wines, exploring mineral and aromatic whites, elegant rosés, and robust reds. The tasting includes detailed insight into the region’s schist terroirs and Mediterranean and Alpine climate influences.

The day concludes with free time to appreciate panoramic views of Nice, the Var, and the Alpes-Maritimes from the estate.
