Description
The snorkeling trip is designed as a small group experience that is fun, close to nature, and accessible to all skill levels. The meeting point is at an easily accessible beach or coastline, where equipment is provided from the Ecole Apnée vehicle. Each participant receives fins, a mask, snorkel, anti-UV lycra suit, and an underwater scooter.
The activity involves snorkeling in groups of three with underwater scooters, including stops to observe local marine life such as octopus, sea urchins, and fish. The trip also includes an educational component to raise awareness about the local underwater ecosystem.
Beginners benefit from effortless movement with the scooters, while more experienced snorkelers can explore their full power and maneuverability, including breath-hold dives.
How It Works
The total duration is approximately two hours and is structured to minimize waiting time:
- 15 to 30 minutes for welcome, equipment fitting, and travel to the snorkeling site
- 45 to 75 minutes snorkeling with the underwater scooter
- 15 to 30 minutes to return equipment and gather belongings

- Mask and fins (optional to remove fins if preferred)
- Protective suit against cold, sun, and jellyfish or long-sleeved T-shirt and anti-UV pants from Barbadiving
Your Instructor
A professional freediving and scuba diving instructor leads the session, provides safety guidance, explains how the scooters work, and educates participants about the local flora and fauna.
Practice Locations
The snorkeling departs directly from the coastline or beach, avoiding crowded dive sites and boat traffic. This allows access to less frequented areas where boats are prohibited, maximizing the exploration along the coast thanks to the mobility provided by the scooters.
Group Size
Groups are limited to a maximum of 6 participants. For bookings of 4 or more, the outing is privatized for complete privacy and exclusivity.
