Description

Discover medieval castles and charming towns as you tour the countryside around Nice. Visit Grasse and learn about the history of French perfume, explore the cobblestone streets of Saint Paul de Vence, and stop at the Gorges du Loup waterfall. After pick up, you travel to the old town of Grasse, the historical center of French perfumery since the end of the 18th century. You will have the opportunity to visit Fragonard perfumery. Continue on to Gourdon, one of the most beautiful perch villages of France, and admire a panoramic view of the Riviera from the Alps over the coast. You will visit the castle, built in the 9th century, and its sumptuous garden, dissected by Lenotre. Enjoy a stop to visit the waterfall 40metres high in the Gorges du Loup. The next stop is the medieval village Tourette Sur Loup, settled on a rocky buttress, overhanging precipices. Also know as Cite des Violettes, this village became a meeting place for musicians, painters, writers, and poets in the middle of the 1920s. Today more than thirty workshops and galleries make the village a place of high standing for art and craft on the Riviera. Your last destination will be Saint Paul de Vence, an extraordinary treasure of Provence that has over time become the garden of many painters.
